The Mabey DURA-BASE® composite mat is assembled from two parts that meet at the centerline of the product. The parts are fastened together by:
- A weld along the exposed seam
- Fasteners distributed throughout the mat
- Dowels that resist the shearing action between the two parts when subjected to a bending load
