Our mats interlock to form a temporary roadway over all types of soil surfaces, allowing you to access even the most remote worksites.

DURA-BASE mats are at their very best in the very worst conditions.

Mabey's mats not only interlock; they stack one on top of another in flooded conditions. This allows work trucks to reach pylons in several feet of water. Mats can also be used to create work pads at the base of those pylons to work a stable operating surface. Use DURA-BASE mats to create a turnaround at the end of your temporary roadway so that the road in can also be used as the road out.

You work...wood won't.

Simply put, wooden mats underperform in damp and environmentally delicate areas. Wood absorbs water, which makes the mats heavy and often too soft to support heavy work trucks. Moreover, wooden mats require time-consuming site preparation while Mabey's system generally requires none. Perhaps most importantly, wooden mats are usually prohibited in environmentally protected areas because of risk of cross-contamination and breakage. DURA-BASE mats are completely safe and approved for use in these same areas because they do not absorb water, will not break and will not transport material from one site to another.
