DuraBase^® Mat System from Mabey

Mabey's DuraBase^® mats make the perfect temporary roadway surface for heavy-duty roads, turnarounds and work and staging areas - regardless of soil conditions. Many utility companies have discovered the benefits of using this system to perform work on lines in designated wetlands. Our DuraBase^® mats have been successfully implemented in the transportation of 120 ton cranes and transmission poles weighing 50,000 lbs. in standing water. The DuraBase^® composite mat is assembled from two parts that meet at the centerline of the product. The parts are fastened together by:

• A weld along the exposed seam 
• Fasteners distributed throughout the mat
• Dowels that resist the shearing action between the two parts when subjected to a bending load
