the Excavator Mounted drill (emd)
Mabey's excavator mounted drill (EMD) from Dawson is the proven solution to hard ground conditions on your next excavation project. The EMD quickly churns and digs its way through clay, hardpan and other tough soils, making it easier to install your sheet piling or other excavation shoring equipment. And, should you require any guidance along the way, Mabey's experienced team of site techs are always available to lend a hand.
Easy Installation
The EMD has been designed to fit your excavator via an adaptor plate which is attached to the stick arm of your excavator. The auger is powered hydraulically and utilizes the same flow and return lines that ordinarily supply your excavator's bucket. A variety of augers cover a wide-range of applications, from drilling precise holes to loosening hard soils prior to installing any of Mabey's excavation shoring solutions.
Save Time and Money
Delays caused by hard ground conditions cost you time and money. The EMD rotates at 158 RPM and features over 15,000 ft. lb. of torque to power through difficult ground and keep your job moving.
