Panel Bridges

Contractors and engineers have utilized modular panel systems as a fast temporary bridge or permanent bridge solution for over 50 years. Mabey's prefabricated bridge systems are comprised of interchangeable, rectangular panels that pin together to form trusses which support floor beams (transoms) of varying lengths:

• Steel deck units span between the transoms
• Transom length increases to carry multiple lanes of traffic
• Simply add more panels to span greater distances or carry heavier loads
• Can be built quickly and with minimal site equipment
• Constructed of high-strength galvanized steel, and manufactured to the highest standards
• Specialized components can be integrated to reduce deflection - or bridge sag - common among older panel bridge systems
• Steel checkerplate deck can be paved with asphalt or covered with an anti-skid surface
• Equipment is immediately available in emergency situations
