Heavy Propping
The
Mabey Heavy Prop is a modular high load propping system capable
of carrying up to 490 kips on a single prop. The flexibility of
the Mabey Heavy Prop system is created by adjustable had and base
units which can be hydraulically preloaded using standard jack units.
It can be used for vertical, horizontal or raking applications.
The
prop is based on four standard panel bridge chords connected into
a square configuration using the prop chord connector. These prop
bodies form the basis of a flexible, modular high load propping
system.
The
key to the system's flexibility lies in the adjustable base and
head units. These units allow up to 15.7" adjustment in prop
height. Jack seatings are provided within the head and base units
to enable the preloading, jacking or releasing of props using standard
hydraulic jacks.
The basic props are complemented by a range of accessories including
access bridges, raking shore adapters and header beams. Header beams
are supplied in standard length.
The high load capacity, flexibility and speed of erection offered
by the Mabey Heavy Prop system together with its hydraulic preload
and jacking facility offers the ideal 'off the shelf' solution to
heavy shoring requirements.
