Mabey Bridge & Shore is seeking an experienced Product Technician/Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the Atlanta, GA location.
Duties / Responsibilities:
YARD
- Acquire detailed knowledge of correct assemble/disassemble, use, installation and maintenance of entire MBSI product range by participating in and successfully completing all training opportunities provided by the company.
- Assemble/disassemble and maintain equipment in the depot as directed.
- Assist with yard duties when not performing tech support on site as directed.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all equipment in the MBSI product range.
- In addition to the record keeping required Laborers, maintain equipment specific test, repair and maintenance records as directed.
- Assist with in-house training on products of other yard personnel as directed.
CUSTOMER SITES
- Follow all on-site safety regulations.
- Support our customers by explaining the safe assembly and installation of our equipment using both written instructions provided with equipment and product knowledge.
- Provide our customers with professional and efficient support as needed for each individual job.
- Liaise with customers, engineering, and sales staff.
- Local travel necessary with occasional extended travel.
- Prepare site reports daily, keeping accurate records and files.
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all equipment in the MBSI product range.
- In addition to the record keeping required of Laborers, maintain equipment specific test, repair and maintenance records as directed.
- Follow DOT regulations and submit weekly logs as applicable.
Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
3. At least 5 years in the construction industry.
4. Experience in driving a forklift and other heavy machinery.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
6. Fluent in Spanish preferred.
7. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
8. Must possess a valid drivers license.
