Mabey Bridge & Shore, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer for our headquarters office in Elkridge, MD.


Principal Accountabilities:

 

  • Develop, implement and monitor system of internal controls in order to safeguard the assets of the corporation.
  • Produce timely and accurate financial reports in order to ensure informed decision making by the Board.
  • Maximize the corporation’s liquidity by detailed and effective cash management including cash flow forecasting.
  • Ensure organization has motivated, well-qualified staff through effective human resource management including development and administration of employee benefits (401k, medical, etc.), recruitment, hiring, training and retention plans.
  • Mitigate financial risk to the organization through effective risk management including design and implementation of credit policies and processes, design of appropriate property and casualty insurance levels, implementation of disaster recovery program.
  • Ensure maximum organizational efficiency through effective management of telecommunications and information technology including networks, data bases, phones, connections, etc.
  • Ensure annual budget and salary review process is in conjunction with the CEO strategies relating to the development of the business plan.
  • As a member of the Board, provide leadership and strategy to associated members.
  • Ensure all tax compliance in accordance with Federal and State requirements.

 

  

Job Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

 

  • BS in accounting or finance
  • CPA designation
  • 10-15 years experience, 5+ years in senior management capacity, demonstrated character and integrity
  • Knowledge of construction accounting, US and UK GAAP/IFRS
  • Strong leadership and administrative skills
  • Technical knowledge of taxes, regulations and professional standards
  • Effective communicator
  • Strong, decisive decision making
