Mabey Bridge & Shore, Inc. is seeking a full-time, experienced AutoCAD Operator to support our Engineering team at our Headquarters in Elkridge, Maryland.
The ideal AutoCAD Operator should possess attention to detail, ability to multi-task, solid communication skills and strong computer skills. Must be able to self-check own work to ensure accuracy and completeness and the ability to work with minimal supervision. This person will need to contribute in design reviews and improve job efficiencies.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Operates computer-aided design (CAD) system and peripheral equipment to convert engineers' and technicians' designs into working computer documents.
- Confers with engineering team to determine design modifications and enters editing information into computer.
- Enters specified commands into computer, to retrieve design information from file and display design on AutoCAD equipment display screen.
- Reviews work order and procedural manuals to determine critical dimensions of design.
- Calculates figures to convert design dimensions to resizing dimensions specified for subsequent production processes.
- Keys in specified information to produce graphic representation (hard copy) of design for review and approval by engineering staff.
- Enters specified information into computer to generate computer file of approved design.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Requires completion of at least an Associate’s Degree with courses in math, science, and computer technology, along with a solid background in computer-aided drafting and design techniques.

At least 7 years of experience with using AutoCAD on a daily basis.

Requires proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

High degree of professionalism, effective interpersonal skills and a team player.

Organized with ability to multi-task, but ultimately, clear prioritization skills are a must.

Ability to work overtime as needed.
