Mabey Bridge & Shore, Inc. is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to be based out of our Orlando, Florida location.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Meet with customers and/or reviewers to discuss project requirements or designs
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, soil borings, tests, topographical and geologic data to determine design parameters
- Determine feasibility of projects based on information provided
- Prepare specification calculations and sketches for design projects involving temporary supports or false work and support of excavations
- Check calculations performed by others
- Check drawings created by others, both submission drawings and fabrication drawings
- Use computer assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering design documents
- May occasionally be required to attend meetings with contractors or to assist/fill in for Technical Representatives at construction sites to aid customers in the use of Mabey equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in structures
- 0-2 year’s experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
