Mabey Bridge & Shore is seeking an experienced Yard Laborer for our Elkridge, Maryland location.
Duties / Responsibilities:
1. Load and Unload equipment off trailers with a forklift.
2. Engage in keeping records of material shipped (Goods Out) and received (Goods In). Shipping & Receiving.
3. Engage in daily maintenance & keeping records on equipment. Forklifts, Cut rigs, Power washer.
4. Maintain company safety standard and follow safety regulations.
5. Establish or adjust daily tasks/schedules to meet changing order priorities.
6. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
7. Monitor minimum stock levels of equipment and supplies.
8. Prepare reports on equipment repaired or fabricated.
9. Study shipping notices, bills of lading
10. Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
11. Inspects equipment for damages and notifies Supervisor.
12. Maintenance of fleet equipment, e.g. wash & paint equipment.
13. Follow maintenance testing & repairs procedures of products.
14. Participate in monthly perpetual stock take and semi annual full stock take.
15. Keeping yard & equipment neat and organized.
16. Various duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. At least 2 years of construction yard experience.
3. Must be at least 18 years of age.
4. Must have 2 years of Forklift experience.
5. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Must have a good driving record.
