Mabey Bridge & Shore is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative for the
greater San Francisco, CA area.
Duties / Responsibilities - Outside Sales Representative:
- Identify rental business opportunities with potential customers and calling on project managers, superintendents, estimators, engineers, business owners and related agencies to solicit business.
- Develop working relationships with customers and attend, as necessary, customer and trade association related events for networking purposes.
- Gather competitor information and gain market intelligence.
- Tele-prospect to qualify leads and present our products and services to both new and existing customers and markets.
- Track projects out for bid.
- Work selected trade shows to increase market share in your assigned territory.
- Work closely with the Yard Supervisor and associated support staff to ensure that customer relationships are appropriately maintained.
- Responsible for the accurate, daily update of the company authorized Customer Contact Management system.
- Responsible for maintaining area revenues and maintaining or exceeding sales budgets and targets as agreed and established for the territory covered.
- Ensure all duties and work is carried out in line with agreed MBSI sales policies.
- Ensure that agreed and official MBSI Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions.
- Responsible for the growth and development of the assigned territory in line with MBSI expectations and those of the regional manager.
- Responsible for the implementation of sales and marketing campaigns to promote company products and services to both new and existing customers and markets, via own efforts and those of the sales support staff.
- Responsible for the effective and ‘to budget’ spending of available funds from the sales promotional & advertising budget for the territory.
- Prepare customer enquiries and schemes using approved forms and procedures, and ensure resulting quotes and bid packages are to the required standard and contain both accurate pricing and technical details, or specifications.
- Produce sales, marketing, and other reports as required by the regional sales manager.

3-5 years experience in outside sales, preferably in the construction market

Requires an Associate's Degree; A Bachelor’s degree and equivalent managerial experience preferred

Must live within the territory, preferably in the San Francisco, CA area

Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal skills

Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information

Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, as well as internet resources and web-based CRM software
