Mabey Bridge & Shore is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Representative for our Virginia territory.


Candidate should possess exceptional internal/external verbal and written communication skills. Candidate should be able to present themselves and the products of the company professionally and convincingly in order to retain existing customers and drive profitable new business. Candidate should also have proven customer service skills and possess effective time management skills. Candidate must also be able to prepare sales proposals and presentations. Most importantly the candidate should be able to maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and fellow employees in a high pressure, fast paced environment.



DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Identify rental business opportunities with potential customers and calling on project managers, superintendents, estimators, engineers, business owners and related agencies to close business.
  • Cold calling and telemarketing to qualify leads and present our products and services to both new and existing customers and markets.
  • Territory management expertise necessary to maximize area revenue to meet and exceed budgeted sales goals and targets.
  • Responsible for the growth and development of the assigned territory in line with MBSI expectations and those of the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Responsible for the implementation of sales and marketing campaigns to promote company products and services to both new and existing customers and markets, via own efforts and those of the sales support staff.
  • Develop working relationships with customers and attend, as necessary, customer and trade association related events for networking purposes.
  • Scheduling appointments, meeting with existing and potential customers in their office or on a job site to sell company based solutions.
  • Gain market intelligence and gather competitor information as necessary.
  • Responsible for the effective and ‘to budget’ spending of available funds from the sales promotional & advertising budget for the territory and cost effective management of a company expense account.
  • Attention to detail necessary to prepare customer inquiries and ensure resulting quotes and bid packages are to the required standards.
  • Work closely with the Depot Manager and associated support staff to ensure that customer relationships and retention are appropriately maintained.
  • Responsible for the accurate, daily update of the company authorized Customer Contact Management system.
  • Produce sales, marketing, and other reports as required by the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager.


 

Job Requirements


Outside Sales Representative

 

Education/ Experience/ Knowledge

    • 3-5 years experience in outside sales (preferably in the construction market)
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal skills
    • Capable of preserving confidential or sensitive information
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as, Internet resources and web-base CRM software
    • Requires an Associate’s degree. A Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent managerial experience preferred
