Mabey Bridge & Shore is seeking an experienced Yard Laborer to support our Elkridge, Maryland location.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load and unload equipment from flatbed trailers with a forklift.
- Engage in keeping records of material shipped (Goods Out) and received (Goods In). Shipping & Receiving.
- Engage in daily maintenance & keeping records on equipment. Forklifts, Cut rigs, Power washer.
- Maintain company safety standard and follow safety regulations.
- Establish or adjust daily tasks/schedules to meet changing order priorities.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Monitor minimum stock levels of equipment and supplies.
- Prepare reports on equipment repaired or fabricated.
- Study shipping notices, bills of lading.
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
- Inspects equipment for damages and notifies supervisor.
- Maintenance of fleet equipment, e.g. wash & paint equipment.
- Follow maintenance testing & repairs procedures of products.
- Participate in monthly perpetual stock take and semi annual full stock take.
- Keeping yard & equipment neat and organized.
- Various duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
3. Must have 2 years experience driving a forklift/ wheel loaders.
4. Experience loading flatbed trailers.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
