Mabey Bridge & Shore is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative - Bridging for the Elkridge, MD location.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Commercial Duties
- Work with the Outside Sales Staff to find leads for bridge rentals and propping rentals
- Search the internet (e.g. DOT websites) for construction projects which require temporary bridges and/or propping
- Search publications (e.g. Dodge reports, BidEx, etc) for construction projects which require temporary bridges and/or propping
- Determine bidders lists for appropriate major projects
- Prepare quotations for the rental or sale of our bridge and propping products
- Establish working relationships with customers to ensure the Mabey name is first and foremost when it comes to temporary bridges and propping

- Operations Duties
- Work with the Depot Managers to coordinate deliveries and returns of Bridging and Propping rental contracts, including:
- Preparation of Goods Received Notes (GRNs)
- Preparation of Goods Outwards notes (GOs) and Goods Inwards (GIs) notes
- Arrange all trucking related to Bridging and Propping contracts
- Maintain job calendar of orders coming in and going out
- Prepare product requirement lists from quotations / orders
- Prepare truck lists from pick lists prepared by Engineering Dept.
- Create and maintain customer files and contract files
- Process start and stop rent dates
- Maintain communication with customers, including:
- Advising customers of outstanding equipment on site, damaged or missing items or any other charges that may be applied
- Follow up with customers to assure satisfaction
- Respond to, and solve or refer problems.
- Research complaints concerning services rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation.

Requirements:
- High School Diploma; some college or college degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of Customer Service experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Technical background; mechanically inclined
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with standard office computer programs.
- Inside Sales experience preferred.
